100th Day!!!

Wow...Fun times in first grade. We have been couting to this day since August and it has finally arrived. We celebrated all day the number 100. I have to say it went really well considering I had never done a 100th day celebration without a full time assistant...I miss you Mrs. Hardin. So here are a couple of pics of some of our activities. Hope your Tuesday was Terrific!

This was one of my babies favorite activities. They had to make a 100 piece snack.
It was full of yummies....
10 cheerios
10 skittles
10 M&Ms - my favorite
10 pretzels
10 mini-marshmallows
10 fruits loops
10 rainbow goldfish
10 peanuts
10 animal crackers
10 chocolate chips

This is what our classroom looked like after our day of fun!

She said YES!!!

That is my Aunt Josie that is!!!  Jay and I traveled to Atlanta, GA to celebrate with Aunt Josie and Gaylen.  They were married on January 27th and just returned from a wonderful honeymoon and had a reception to celebrate with all of their friends and family.  The event was held at a Sip Wine and Tapas in Alpharetta, GA.  It was a fast trip but it was so good to see everyone and celebrate with Aunt Josie and Gaylen.

This was the wonderful weather Jay to drive in.  He did a fabulous job!
Mr. Ducky kept a watch out for any of his friends!

Is this not a beautiful site?  We were in a bank parking lot and I spotted them and a picture had to be taken!

My beautiful momma getting all the yummy cakes in the right place with the correct cake label.

Colie and Heather awaiting for the celebration to begin!

Here Dad and I are asking in a sweet sugary way.."What flavor would you like to have?  Oh, they are all good."

And these sweet darlings were made for our neighborhood meeting.  They went over very well and I did sprinkles for both of the teams in the Super Bowl!

Picnic Weather!

Happy Sunday!  I truly enjoy Sunday's and the tradition Jay and I have for Sunday mornings.  We get up, make coffee, Jay runs and gets a paper, paper and coffee time on the couch, I make breakfast, and then we get ready for church.

This is what we drank out of this morning :-) We got these on my 30th birthday trip to Walt Disney World - such a magical place!

After church we new that it was to pretty of a day to do school work all day, so we headed to the Lake Norman area.  We picked up lunch at the Fresh Market and then off to locate a picnic area.  It was great being out in the beautiful weather and seeing so many other people enjoying it too!

A must go back place on our fun place list is - Ramsey Creek Park!  Lots of beautiful scenery, great picnic areas, playground and very clean.

It was so warm that we had to let our piggies experience the wonderful sunshine!

My handsome husband!

Of course I had to see the temperature of the water and play in it just a bit!

Hello Sunshine!!!

Hello SUNSHINE!!!

Jay and I were so excited to see that the sunshine was going to come out and play with us today. We decided that we would be tourist in a near by city - Cornelius, NC!

I had heard that there was a fabulous cupcake shop in Cornelius so we hit the road around noon. We were treated to a fabulous cupcake from SweetCakes - http://www.sweetcakesbakery.com

Holy Cow!! This was one amazing cupcake! If you are in the area,
this is a place you have to stop at!

We also ventured into Davidson, NC and found some really neat places. Well, when we are shopping I love trying on very unique items. Well did I ever find a couple of things today!

What a fabulous day and thank you sunshine for coming out and playing with us today!

Tigers and Clowns and Elephants...I am so EXCITED!

I can not tell you how excited I was when Jay told me that we were going to the Circus!! I practiced my elephant impersonation for a day straight. As a little girl this was something that my momma and daddy always took Heather and I to. It was always something that I looked forward to, and associated the civic center to the elephant smell. We headed to uptown Charlotte to the epicenter for some yummy dinner at Mortimer's and then across the street to see the greatest show on earth!

I have been waiting on seeing the sweet girl all evening.

She is such a smart girl, she painted a beautiful picture!

I made a new friend while at the Circus!
I have always wondered what it would be like to go to clown school. I asked Jay a gazillion questions about where he thought the circus family sleeps, how long they were away from home, what kind of life they have, etc. He probably was thinking "Hunny, how would I know?" But he is so awesome that he carried the conversation on with me!

Since I had so many questions about being a clown I thought I would give it a try!

Jay saw how much fun it was to be a clown, so he decided to give it a try himself! lol

What a good sport he is!

Thank you hunny for surprising me and creating such a fabulous night!

Jay is full of WISDOM!!

Our new year started with Jay having to have his wisdom teeth pulled. He has extra wisdom, the doc found 5 wisdom teeth when reading his x-ray. I was so thankful to be off with him to be Nurse Kelly. It was a rotation of ice, medicine, more ice, lots of sleeping, ice cream time and repeat! After the first couple of days Jay was doing much better!

This was Jay right before I had to leave him and go sit in the waiting room. I think I was more shook up than he was! lol...
